Adani Foundation gives Rs 25 crore for flood relief work in Andhra Pradesh


Adani Foundation has announced a donation of Rs 25 crore for flood relief efforts in Andhra Pradesh.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has given this information on social media platform X. He wrote that “I am deeply saddened by the damage caused by the recent heavy rains and floods in Andhra Pradesh. Adani Group stands in solidarity with the people of Andhra Pradesh. It humbly offers its support by contributing Rs 25 crore to the relief efforts through the Adani Foundation.”

Karan Adani, MD of Adani Ports and SEZ, said in his post on X that it is a privilege to contribute to the relief efforts led by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Our hearts are with those who are making their lives and livelihoods normal.

According to ANI report, the flood water has now receded. Residents of the affected areas have been shifted to relief camps. Indian armed forces have been deployed to carry out relief and rescue operations in the flood affected areas.

Inspection of flood affected areas

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also inspected various flood affected areas. The Chief Minister met the affected people of the area and assured them of all possible help in making their lives normal.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also visited Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Later, Shivraj Chauhan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and submitted a preliminary report of the damage caused by floods and heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and neighboring Telangana.
