Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 3.05%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Friday.

Shares of Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 7.09 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 6.23 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 4.43 per cent), DLF Ltd.(up 3.34 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 2.65 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 3.05 per cent up at 1101.6.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 375.16 points at 25790.95, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1359.51 points at 84544.31.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRB Infra Dev., Zomato, GMR Infra and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Sobha (PP), Marksans Pharma, Concord Biotech Ltd., Interarch Building and Themis Medicare hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Xtglobal Infotech, GSS Infotech, Shree Tirupati Balaj, Filatex Fashions and Gujarat Ambuja hit their fresh 52-week lows.
