The US Federal Reserve announced a cut in interest rates for the first time since the pandemic. After a cut of 50 basis points (50bps), the current interest rates have come in the range of 4.75% to 5%. On the announcement of the rate cut, US Fed chief Jerome Powell also expressed his stand on the plan regarding inflation.
